The Lower Shore team welcomed Maryland Labor Secretary Tiffany Robinson to our center. Secretary Robinson took time to meet with the team to find out more about the services we provide and to tour the Lower Shore American Job Center. Thank you Secretary and we look forward to working with you!

The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance had a wonderful time attending the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce / Salisbury, MD Mixer at Bordeleau Vineyards & Winery toward the end June. We are so grateful to have a web of amazing organizations, businesses, and people who all are on the same mission of supporting our community.

The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance, along with the Maryland Department of Labor took a tour through forests of the Eastern Shore with the Maryland Department of resources to learn about the careers within the forestry industry.
For those who have little to no experience in heavy equipment operation, there is an opportunity to learn on-the-job operation procedures for knuckle boom loaders and grapple skidders.

Special thanks to Matthew Hurd, regional forester for the Maryland forest service, for organizing our tour.
